I have this pattern from the Thimbleberries 2008 BOM Club - the bear paw block is part of the large bed quilt. However, TB also gave the pattern to make a runner. I love the fabric in this runner, and I love the bear paw block. It has applique as well — fused pinecones.

Summer Frolic
I LOVE Australian Country Threads magazine! Getting subscribed to it from Canada is a cinch, considering that their North American Distributor is Stonehouse Publications located in Toronto. Vol. 9 No. 2 has a nice stitchery pillow called “summer frolic” that I am adapting to make a totebag. Initially, I thought it would be for an on the go knitting project, but now I’m thinking it may become a purse….
